The challenge

What the university came to us with.

The existing website needed to be modernised and technically consolidated. In addition to a contemporary user interface, the focus was on editorial workflows, search functionality, multilingual support and a stable system environment. In the higher education sector, this means: numerous stakeholders, diverse target groups and a wide range of content, from research and academic studies to administration.

01

Many stakeholders, broad content

Bringing research, study and administration, each with different target groups, together under one consistent website.

02

New Azure infrastructure

Setting up operations, scaling and the connection of existing systems reliably, without complicating editorial work in TYPO3.

03

Hardly any English content

Multilingualism in DE/EN had to be built up, even though there was hardly any English content beforehand.

04

Findability of offerings

Prospective students and researchers struggled to find key offerings.
