3. Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, as well as the right to have this data rectified or erased. Where the processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, North Rhine-Westphalia).

4. Hosting

This website is hosted in a data centre within the Federal Republic of Germany. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR; a contract for data processing has been entered into with the hosting provider in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR. Note: The specific hosting service provider must be named before publication.

5. Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits (browser type/version, operating system, referrer URL, host name, time of the request, IP address). This data is collected on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR for the purpose of ensuring the website is displayed correctly and optimising its performance. This data is not combined with other data sources.

6. Contacting us and the contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form or by email, your details, including your contact information, will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry and for any follow-up questions. Processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (contract/pre-contractual measures) or (f), or with your consent under (a). We will retain the data until you request its erasure, withdraw your consent or the purpose no longer applies; mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

7. Cookies and consent management

We use the consent management platform Cookiebot provided by Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark. Cookiebot asks for your consent to store information on your device and records it. Your choice is saved in the cookie “CookieConsent” (storage period 12 months). To document your consent, Cookiebot processes your truncated IP address, the date and time, browser information and the URL on which you gave consent. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Article 7(1) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Usercentrics.

Without consent, we only store what is required for a function you have explicitly requested (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). This is your cookie choice and, if you pause the background animation, that setting in your browser’s local storage (entry “heroAnim”).

We only use any other services with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the page footer. The cookie declaration at the end of this page lists the individual cookies.

8. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics

If you consent to the “Statistics” category, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Without your consent, neither service is loaded.

Google Tag Manager embeds Google Analytics on our website. It does not set any cookies itself, but it connects to Google servers, which transmits your IP address.

Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how our website is used so that we can improve it. For this purpose, cookies are stored (“_ga”, “_ga_*”, storage period up to 2 years). Pseudonymous usage data is processed, for example pages visited, time spent, referring page, device, browser and approximate location. IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4. The data is deleted after 14 months.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the EU Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Article 45 GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
