Service 01
Consultancy & Concept Development
Finding the right solution before writing a single line of code.
How we work
Understand first, then plan.
Listening & understanding
Kick-off workshop with all stakeholders: who uses the system? What does it need to do? What dependencies are there on campus systems such as HISinOne, SAP or Shibboleth?
Analysing & prioritising
Structuring requirements, naming conflicting goals, identifying quick wins. The result is a prioritised requirements document — not a sales deck.
Planning & sketching
Information architecture, user flows and first wireframes. We show options with effort and trade-offs — so the university can make an informed decision.
Aligning & handing over
Concept presentation, feedback round, approval. The final concept document is the project foundation and handover document — even if another agency implements it.
What you get
No concept that just sits on the shelf.
Requirements document
A structured, prioritised list of all functional and non-functional requirements — agreed with IT, communications and management.
Information architecture
Page structure, navigation and content model — as the basis for UX design and CMS configuration.
Wireframes / clickable prototype
Page concepts in lo-fi or mid-fi, testable with real users from your university.
Feasibility assessment
Realistic effort range, technical risks and a recommendation: classic TYPO3, headless or hybrid.
Stakeholder minutes
Documented decisions and reasoning — so new team members can get up to speed at any time.
Technical fact sheet
Interface overview: HISinOne, SAP, LDAP, Shibboleth — with open questions and responsibilities.

Frequently asked questions
What you'll want to know before the initial consultation.
More questions? Write to us.Yes — that's explicitly possible and makes sense. An independent concept protects you from vendor lock-in and gives you a solid basis for a transparent tender. We deliver all documents in a form any qualified agency can work with.
Usually two to three: a kick-off workshop (half a day), an interim review (two hours) and a final presentation. For more complex projects involving several departments there may be more — we clarify this in the initial consultation.
Yes — we prefer to hold workshops on site (better energy, more whiteboard), while reviews and alignment meetings can easily take place remotely. We come to you — anywhere in Germany.
